Common Dental Emergencies
Some of the most common types of dental emergencies include cracked or chipped teeth, lost crowns or fillings, loose teeth, bleeding gums, or jaw pain. Many of these issues can be extremely painful and may require immediate attention to ensure that further damage does not occur.
If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, the best and quickest relief will come from seeing a dentist. Hospital emergency rooms are not equipped to treat issues such as knocked-out or abscessed teeth. However, if you are experiencing severe facial swelling or bleeding or suspect that you have a broken jaw, please head to the nearest ER.
